浸大代表團出戰國際模擬聯合國大會 連奪兩傑出團員獎

HKBU’s 10-student delegation clinched two Outstanding Delegate Awards for the fourth consecutive year at the Asian International Model United Nations Conference recently organised by Peking University.

The winners of the two Outstanding Delegate Awards were Connie Ho (English Language and Literature and English Learning Teaching, Year 4), and Echo Chen (Public Relations and Advertising, Year 2) along with her partner, Lawrence Leung (Organisational Communication, Year 3).

This year, the Conference attracted more than 400 students from 100 institutions in 20 countries and regions. The HKBU delegation represented Germany, Russia, India and Zambia in six simulated committees, discussing pressing international issues such as global immigration, child labour, biodiversity, and endangered languages. Despite the intense discussions and dynamic negotiations, the students demonstrated outstanding diplomatic skills through their speeches as they made tough compromises with delegates from around the world.
