HKBU to organise Bootcamp to encourage entrepreneurship across local and overseas universities

浸會大學舉辦體驗營推廣創業文化

To encourage immersive learning for new venture creation and promote entrepreneurship across local and overseas universities, the Knowledge Transfer Office of Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) will organise its second Entrepreneurship Bootcamp from 18 to 21 May (Friday to Monday) on HKBU campus. During the four-day event, 80 like-minded students from HKBU, University of California, Berkeley, University of Oxford, Nanjing University, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and The Chinese University of Hong Kong will participate in a holistic entrepreneurship training programme where they will form teams to exchange their creative ideas through a comprehensive array of activities such as interactive discussions, lectures, practical workshops and game sessions.
 
Over 10 esteemed guest speakers from different professions and industries from Silicon Valley and Hong Kong will be invited to share on topics covering entrepreneurship mindset training, design thinking, pitching skills, fascinating startup stories and so forth. 
 
Featured speakers include Mr Nathan Gold, “The DemoCoach” and a Wall Street Journal designated “Elevator Pitch Guru”, who will discuss “How to Captivate any Audience”; Mr Reeve Kwan, Founder of GoGoVan, will share on “The Way to Unicorn”; Ms Isabel Fan, Regional Director of Tesla Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, will highlight “Accelerate the World’s Transition to Sustainable Energy”; Mr Jimmy Tao, CEO of Vitargent (International) Biotechnology Limited, will elaborate on “Vitargent – Biotech Startup in Hong Kong”; and 13-year-old “kidpreneur” and CEO of the online educational platform MinorMynas, Miss Hillary Yip, will speak on “MinorMynas and the aspiring kidpreneur”.

為了促進本地與海外院校學生對企業發展的認識,香港浸會大學知識轉移處將於5月18至21日 (星期五至一) 在校園舉辦第二屆體驗營活動。在為期四日的活動中,80多位來自浸會大學、美國柏克萊加州大學、牛津大學、南京大學、香港理工大學和香港中文大學的學生將以小組形式,透過連串豐富的互動討論、講座、工作坊和遊戲,互相交流創新的商業意念。
 
逾十位來自美國矽谷和本地不同界別的專業人士將應邀為參與同學講解和分享多個創意課題,包括創業思維訓練、設計思考模式、路演技巧、創業勵志故事等。
 
主題講者包括DemoCoach兼《華爾街日報》指定「電梯募投權威」Nathan Gold先生講述「How to Captivate any Audience」、GoGoVan創辦人關俊文先生分享「The Way to Unicorn」、Tesla香港、澳門及台灣地區區域總監范菁怡女士講解「Accelerate the World’s Transition to Sustainable Energy」、水中銀 (國際) 生物科技有限公司首席執行官杜偉樑先生主講「Vitargent – Biotech Startup in Hong Kong」,以及以13歲之齡創立兒童交友應用程式的小創業家葉礽僖暢談「MinorMynas and the aspiring kidpreneur」。
