The School of Business of Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) and the Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Macau co-organised the 5th World Business Ethics Forum from 9 to 11 December. With the theme “Challenges and Implications for the Private and Public Sectors”, the Forum attracted numerous worldwide scholars and professionals to join at which over 60 papers were presented. Dr Frederick Yim, Assistant Professor of the Department of Marketing, was awarded the Best Paper Award for his outstanding paper entitled “Lone wolves reciprocate less deviance: A moral identity model of abusive supervision”.

Dr Yim was surprised to receive the award and said: “It is heartening to receive this research award centering on business ethics. In view of the rising importance of business ethics, it is encouraging to witness that both academic research and student awareness of business ethics have been increasing.”

The World Business Ethics Forum was co-founded by HKBU and the University of Macau in 2006 and runs every two years on a rotational basis. It aims at providing an open platform for academics and practitioners from around the world to share and discuss ideas and issues related to new thinking and research findings in the broad area of business ethics.

浸大與澳門大學兩所院校的工商管理學院於12月9至11日合辦「第五屆世界商業倫理論壇」,題為「Challenges and Implications for the Private and Public Sectors」,吸引眾多學者專家參加,並於會上發表逾60篇研究論文,其中市場學系助理教授嚴康傑博士的論文「Lone wolves reciprocate less deviance: A moral identity model of abusive supervision」更獲頒發「最佳論文獎」。
