HKBU students win five awards at Hong Kong Model United Nations Conference

浸大生在香港模擬聯合國會議奪五獎項

A group of HKBU students recently obtained impressive results at the Hong Kong Model United Nations Conference, winning five awards:  

Best Position Paper: Felix Tin (Social Sciences, Year 1) and Joscelin Yeung (Government and International Studies, Year 2)
Best Delegation: Cherry Sit (China Studies, Year 1) and Harry Zhao (Social Sciences, Year 1)
Best Speaker: Kyle Chan (Government and International Studies, Year 2)
Best Performance: Gabriel Ha (Associate Degree, Year 1) and
Honourable Mention: Jason Chen (Translation, Year 2) 

The 22 HKBU students who were appointed as delegates had undergone a series of intensive training sessions on Model United Nations knowledge and skills since October 2013.  This year, the Conference was held from 15 to 18 January. It aims at promoting world peace through understanding and cooperation between cultures and arousing youth attention on global issues.  

多名浸大學生最近在香港模擬聯合國會議中取得驕人成績,共奪得五個獎項,包括﹕ 

最佳論文獎﹕田宜鉅(社會科學一年級)及楊臻茜(政治及國際關係學二年級)
最佳隊伍﹕薛曉彤(中國研究一年級)及趙淩波(社會科學一年級)
最佳講者﹕陳希延(政治及國際關係學二年級)
最佳表現﹕何家寶(副學士一年級)
榮譽獎﹕陳笑天(翻譯學二年級)
 

浸大隊伍由二十二名學生組成,自去年十月起,接受一系列有關模擬聯合國議題的訓練。 今年的會議由一月十五至十八日舉行,透過活動讓同學與不同文化的學生討論國際議題,有助促進世界和平。
