Summer day camps enrich secondary school students’ knowledge of Chinese medicine

The School of Chinese Medicine (SCM) organised two summer exploration day camps on 19 and 25 July to enable a total of 130 secondary four and five students to gain more knowledge about Chinese medicine and get a taste of university life. 
Activities at the camps included introductory lectures on Chinese medicine and simulated experiments featuring acupuncture, tui na therapy, identifying Chinese herbal medicines, the phytochemistry of Chinese materia medica and physiology, games and campus visit. SCM students also shared their learning experience with the participants, giving them a glimpse of university life.
