Lion Rock Poetry Reading connects the age of networks with poems

Lion Rock Poetry Reading 2018 with the theme “The Age of Networks” was held on 17 March. Organised by the Language Centre of the Faculty of Arts, this annual event aims to enhance public understanding of literature, encourage the younger generation to participate in creative writing and enrich the artistic and cultural landscape of Hong Kong.
Over 100 participants, mainly students of secondary schools and tertiary institutions, attended the event. Recitals were delivered by nine renowned young poets including Mr Lam Chi-wa, Mr Leung Wai-lok, Mr Li Chiu-chun, Dr Lui Wing-kai, Mr Song Zijang, Mr Lai Ho-wai, Miss Leung Lee-chi, Dr Zheng Lei and Miss Law Lok-man. This year, four poets recited their poems to the accompaniment of a piano played by art curator Mr Shek Chun-yin, bringing a brand-new cross-art collaboration experience to the audience.
Launched in 2004, Lion Rock Poetry Reading aims to provide an interactive exchange platform for local poets.
