Dr Chow Yiu-fai’s book selected as top 10 good books by secondary students

One Body, Two Persons, a book written by Dr Chow Yiu-fai, Assistant Professor of the Department of Humanities and Creative Writing, was recently elected as one of the top 10 good books by secondary school students at the 27th Secondary School Students Good Book Election organised by the Hong Kong Professional Teachers’ Union.

Dr Chow is pleased to have received the award and said there are two reasons for his gratification. First, the award is a result of direct election of more than 40,000 students, and second, the “body” is a topic that he has been paying attention to. The winning entry is a collection of short stories that begin with different parts of the body, evoking readers’ thoughts about the body. He considers the award signifies that the topic of the body has entered the secondary school campus.
